Behind The Groove

"Her sound is so smooth that you can't help but groove". Jocelyn Hudson AKA DJ JSmooth is a Chicago based, open format DJ with a fiery sound that adds flavor to all of her mixes. Since starting her career in high school, JSmooth has made a reputation for being electrifying, energetic, and amplified. This multifaceted DJ isn't afraid to be diverse in her sound by using several genres of music in her mixes including Top 40, R&B/Soul, Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Pop, Trap, House, Reggaeton, and EDM. DJ JSmooth's unmistakable talent and passion for music are what drives her to become an extraordinary female DJ. She remains humble to her followers (AKA Groovers). Without them, she believes her dreams wouldn't come true.

DJ JSmooth attended Columbia College Chicago, where she was the Music Director of its #1 college radio station WCRX 88.1FM Chicago Underground. Also, she is the former president of Columbia College Chicago's DJ Club. She received an award for Best Collaboration Student Organization in 2016. In 2018, Jocelyn was inducted into the Radio Hall Of Frame at Columbia College for her outstanding leadership, organization, and planning around the Radio Department. Since receiving her Bachelor's degree in Radio Broadcasting from Columbia College Chicago. Dj JSmooth mixes have left a huge impact on campus. Currently, JSmooth is now a resident DJ at 305 Fitness Chicago as she continues to DJ throughout the Chicagoland area.
